Chris Prescott

Travel Photographer & Filmmaker

Chris Prescott is a documentary filmmaker and travel photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He founded his production company Dark Sky Media in 2015 and has numerous directing credits, including Farewell to Adventure for the BBC. His films have won multiple awards at international film festivals.

Running alongside the film work, Chris developed a lifelong passion for travel photography whilst growing up on the Isle of Man. Over the last 20 years his work has taken him around the world and his images have appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic, Men’s Journal, and more.

During this time, Chris has refined his skills working in remote and high-risk environments, and he regularly shoots in rope-access situations. He also has in-depth post-production experience across film and television. Chris holds an MSc in Sound Design with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh and is a fully qualified sound designer.
